the reading room :: e-newsletter #41

Hi all,

We have light! Come and bask in the new warm glow - you know you can now see
enough to read! Long time coming. Thanks Tiff and her family for their
invaluable help.

September sees a new exhibition with an old theme - Heritage@Risk presented
by the National Trust. More details soon.

Starting this Sunday September 4th we're hosting a new Adelaide Capoeiragroup. Come and try for free, from 2pm.

Also the Festival of Unpopular Culture will launch its program very soon -
keep an eye out, we're doing stuff.

September Meeting of the Feminist Reading Group 6:30 - 9:30
You might have heard about Gail Dines. You may have seen her on Q&A. You may have been so infuriated you yelled expletives at your television screen.
The good news is, now you can vent to your heart's delight (to/with/at other people!), because for this month's meeting, we're reading her controversial book 'Pornland: How Porn has Hijacked Our Sexuality'.
