Artists Cameron Brideoake & Vera Ada ::
Our first exhibition for 2012 looks amazing. Here's some more info about Vera Ada:
Véra Ada is a 22 year old language student interested in photography and linguistics. Whilst the latter is the main focus of her career, she considers picture-making as her creative self. As an experimental photographer, she works with as many formats as possible, including digital, 35mm and 60mm film cameras, as well as instant. She processes her work both on computer and in the dark-room, and is fascinated by multiple and long exposures, light and chemical leaks, expired film, and cross-processing.
She focuses mainly on people in her images, working around the model with minimal direction. In this exhibition she's showcasing a variety of hand printed dark-room portraits, as well as colour film multiple exposures, which have proven to be an ongoing obsession due to the inability to have complete control over the final photo.

:: Thursday 2nd February - Saturday 18th February ::
Renée O'Connell exhibition :: Opening Night Thursday 2nd February from 6pm Little google eyed Sushi was spawned from my imagination late 2007 whilst experimenting with spay paints & stencils. He had a very small & short debut throughout the streets of Adelaide but shortly after a few gigs at the old Zhivago's & Urban cow studio his cheeky little face shied away from the public eye..
Recently I decided to challenge myself by taking on this project at the Reading room so I dusted off ye old sewing machine & transcended his tiny little being onto crafts & bags.. So come forth & see his metamorphosis as a crafty felty little guy. Hopefully he can warm the cockles of your hearts as he has mine.
