Farewell Hindley Street

To all our supporters, contributors, volunteers, patrons, and players,

After nearly three years at 153 Hindley Street, it is time for the reading room to move on. On May 10th, 2013 we will close our doors, ready for our next incarnation.

Where and when that will be, we don't yet know, but we are working with the ever-supportive Renew Adelaide team to find somewhere awesome. Details about the new space will be released in the upcoming months, so stay tuned for updates as thisnot-for-profit artspace finds it feet again.

While it is sad to be leaving, I am amazed that we managed to stay here this long. Initially expecting to be in the Hindley Street space for a maximum of 1 - 3 months, we have been lucky enough to have the support of a great landlord who has let us occupy this building rent-free since June 2010.

With over 30 volunteers, more than 10 community groups, two successful Pozible campaigns, four festivals (including two amazing Fringe's and two consecutive SALA entrants), and hundreds of local, interstate, and international artists and performers, it has been a busy few years full of fun, drama and good times. Thank you all for being part of the adventure.

We still have events in the next few weeks, with musician Anthonie Tonnon coming all the way over from New Zealand to play in our loungeroom, the 'Get-it-out-of-my-life' booksale on the 7th where you can grab something awesome, quirky, or downright ridiculous (who knows?!), and ESPECIALLY our huge Dancing Room/Moving Party on the 8th of May, so keep an eye on our Facebook page and website for more info.
